Week 5: One Month Mark in Mission Field
Hey all,
Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!.... I have completed one month in full time mission and I felt it was like a week ago I left my home... HAHAHA I am just kidding
well how are all and how is everyone at your home. I doing great here in Erode District and I am so happy to serve here. Last week we had a baptism of Sister Nandini and she is awesome in remembering things, without reading the scripture she can memorize the ten commandments. I felt like wow at first even I couldn't remember them a lot.
The field is so white here and already to harvest, all we need to do is get to know about them and help them understand the true doctrine of Christ. At times its hard when they go out of the topic and we strive hard to get them back on the lesson. Its fun to hear about what they share but everyone has lots of question in life just like how I had when I got to know about the gospel and I feel so blessed to answer to their questions. When we felt the love of Christ in our life, we should not be hesitant to share them to others.
One thing I learnt during the week is that scriptures are very very important while sharing the gospel so I started to read 2 chapters from Old testament, New testament and Book of Mormon, its good to study them and at times when we had BOM challenge in our ward, I used to not read them much or complete it
HEHE but now I learnt the importance of it. Its good to have the knowledge of Scriptures and My companion is amazing in that, he rocks like anything and I will gain that experience one day!...
On Sunday we had a wonderful dinner at Sister Stella's home and she prepared awesome chapatis and idlies with Chicken and mutton gravy and it reminded me of my home
Have fun in your ward and always help the ward during sacrament meetings and other classes as well, for there is fruit in it that will taste above all earthly fruits.
Take care and rock the world
Love,
Elder Ravindran
