Week 50: "The Wonderful Morning of Baptism - 2"
Hey Everybody!!! Yes, this is it!!! I wanted to mention the same subject line so that it would be more meaningful. So yeah, this week we made it. We found one best place to baptise our investigators.. Its Krishna river, one of our dear friends offered his guest house for us to use it for Baptism!! Wow, what a blessing it is for Vijayawada. Truly, we struggled to find one, but heavenly father answered with this wonderful place. Such an awesome place to perform this sacred ordinance.
I thought 9 Baptism would be great for this week, but god had a different plan, he gave us more this week!! What a surprise it was and what a twist during the week!! We had 11 wonderful souls entered into the water who made a covenant with the god in heaven. What a blessing!! I felt the divine plan for the people we taught. This was the experience which we had.
We had about 6 families for July 7th however, in every family we saw the great Satan played in their life and got a big obstacle to avoid for Baptism!! We earnestly prayed and visited them often to make sure they are taken care and being guided to take this decision. Out of which two families I have witnessed the changes happened!! Which one brother had a great fear of taking Baptism and was wondering what if he goes back to the same old life. We then explained the importance of the Sacrament and the gift of the holy ghost.I shared my favourite scripture which is Helaman 5:12 (Foundation of Christ that the Satan cannot drag down) then that brother wanted to overcome this fear in his life and that happened in the next visit with him. He said I have overcome the fear now I am ready to take the Baptism!! Wow, what a conversion was that.
Then a joint family about 7 souls prepared to be baptised out of which brother the head of the family says he doesn't want to take the baptism, we felt sad about it, then when the day was nearing on last Friday we had a review on the Baptism with the entire family, then all of sudden brother comes up and tells us that he wanted to take Baptism!! We were like WOWWWW!!!Then we called the zone leader to interview with the permission of mission president and later the great, wonderful morning came forth with 11 souls entering into the water one by one!! It was the most spiritual moment I experienced so far on my mission.
I loved the god's plan for these families... and it's wonderful to serve here in Vijayawada!! It is truly the promised land. I felt the wonderful moments on a mission. I love this work more than anything.
We also moved to a new apartment.. A lot of cleanings happened this week. We were not tried, we enjoyed the work we are doing and the work is not done, there are more souls waiting to receive this wonderful gospel.
I am excited for one more year on my mission. Many things to learn and many works to do for the next journey!!!
With my whole heart I testify that this is the true gospel and Savior Jesus Christ is the centre of all of it. Without him the plan of salvation for everyone is incomplete!!! So enjoy feasting upon the words of Christ.
