Week 92&93: "Week 1: Every Soul Matters"



Hey Everybody!!!! The time is nearing and I remember my first 12 weeks on mission, however I wanted to do something interesting for the next 13 weeks of my mission. 

I would like to name it as "Lessons I learnt on Mission" yes these are the lessons I learnt even before mission however I came to a better understanding of everything that is happening around me, people, testimony, Church, Doctrine and so on. So I have planned to talk about some particular topic each week also with the experience I had during the week. So be excited cos those are the lessons helped me to grow in the Gospel and stay strong on the covenant path even if there was whirlwinds in my life. The Gospel is real and alive which gives peace, hope, joy and happiness in the covenant path of the lord. Its never too late. By this I know some or the other who reads this will be comforted and be willing to change in life and be better. 

Every Soul Matters: 
During the start of my mission I decided to read Book of Mormon and Bible, as days passed on I came across this scripture John 21:15-17 which says "Feed my Sheep" here at the contrast the Savior asked Peter three times "Lovest thou me?" this incident happened right after when the Savior was resurrected, Peter then said "yea lord thou knowest that I love thee". The Savior repeatedly said "Feed my Sheep" At times as I have lost the opportunity to serve the people around me I come to an end of being like peter not knowing what to do and during that moment the savior echos in my heart saying "Feed my Sheep" that one moment as I hear to the promptings of the holy spirit I come to a change in myself and do something that would make the day go well. With this I have seen how important the people around us are and how much they need to hear this Gospel in their life. This reminds me of the Son's of Mosiah as they repented quickly their hearts was turned towards the people who have gone astray. They said "Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble".  

So our duty is to preach the Gospel to whole nation and in our mission the Asia area has come up with a new way that could reach the people about the wonderful Gospel in their life. I plead with you all that by small and simple things comes great things to pass and I know as you share with your friends and relative, you are doing missionary work.

My week was amazing and I enjoyed a lot being out with the people whom we are teaching, at times I have asked my companion what shall we do after these wonderful people will be Baptized and yet we receive more new people in our teaching pool. How great is the work of the lord :) I am happy being a missionary and I am grateful for the lord to provide me this wonderful opportunity in my life. Its been a great ride in this journey.

I remember last new year roaming on the mid night with dear friends, wishing everybody even if they are strangers it didn't matter and having some fun on roads, a wonderful meal with friends and family. It was wonderful and a time that would never come back. Week 20&21: "Willing to bear one another's burden"

Hey everybody, I am soooooo sorry for not emailing you all, Last week we went out as it was Elder Abel's last P-day so we spent our time with him. However our week went so well as it was light the world program and we were able to print the banner and put it outside the chapel so that the people who walk can see it and we did receive some people and some stand and see from outside the main road as we projected the light the world video on the church wall. Its amazing to see it from outside.  My days on mission is going fine and today my companion Elder Abel finished his 2 years mark and traveled back home. So for next 10 days we three will be on trio, me elder miller and thiviyanathan and then I will be getting a companion. Week 13: Start where you are!!!

Hey everybody how are you all and once again I'm excited to write to you all!. I see that most of you have had a wonderful YSA conference held in Bangalore. Good job Bangalore!!!!! I really missed this YSA conference and I always wanted to be in the committee to help and support the team but based on the feedback you have rocked it!!!!! I love you guys, you did it!. I heard that my brother danced!! HAHA!!! I received few pics from him and you all look so wonderful. Well my week was awesome as we had our Zone Conference and followed by that the next day we had a special devotional from the Church Historian and for the first time they have visited "INDIA", along with them we were so happy to meet Elder Evans from the Asia area presidency. So based on that devotion I learnt that its very very very important to keep records of our life journey so that our future generation will be benefited.
