Week 94&95: "Week 2 & 3 - Faith Hope and Love"

Dear Everyone,

Sorry that I couldn't email last week, so this is what happened in the past two weeks. We had transfers coming in and I got transferred to the place where I started my mission. I was confused why am I back in the same area where I started. As I came here, I learnt that the lord is merciful in all he does. One thing is that we were preparing altogether 9 people for Baptism as on May 18 just after the transfer. I felt that I am going to be here to witness their beautiful moment which is gonna start for them. At the time nearing to their Baptism, there was lot of concerns coming up and literally we felt that 5 people needed some more time. Then as the call came in I was devastated and was thinking that all the hard work has not failed, its just that the lord has used me to prepare at least 4 people for Baptism and as it happened, I had the chance to witness their Baptism, One of the sister asked my companion Elder Yogesh who is a new zone leader who interviewed them last week asked if Elder Ravindran can perform the Baptism. I was honored not only to witness but to get into water and Baptize one soul whom the heavenly father dearly loved.

As we traveled from Erode to Coimbatore for the Baptism service, I forgot my Trolly inside the bus and we ran to the main bus stand to search the same bus which we came in. Almost 20 mins we searched, we couldn't find it. That moment I felt how much the Satan doesn't want the Baptism to happen. Finally I found my trolly.

Just the day before their baptism, Contention happened in the neighborhood, literally the Satan didn't wanted baptism to happen for this wonderful family. However Hope is everlasting and every moment as I hoped in the Savior Jesus Christ, that I will be able to overcome the trails or have enough comfort and strength to face the trails. I have witnessed in the past two weeks.

I was able to know about Faith, Hope and love for the people around me and those who still love me and yet does with the real heart. It should be Charity but my dear friend on mission taught that the word love has more meaning to it than charity. I can see how much I love the people here in Erode now and the people of Coimbatore zone. Surely I had a wonderful moments.

Love,

Elder Ravindran
