Week 6: "Mary did you know, that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?"
Hey everybody, how are you all. I am doing great here in Erode. Last week was an interesting one where we were totally focused on the in-active members and we tried our best in search of them because the addresses here in Erode are complicated but its so fun to search them.
During the week I was kinda lost or feeling lonely, because we didn't know where to start or what to do for Erode. Then me and my companion started to work on the area book and also on map of Erode creating for each less active and potential/former investigators. We also planned to fast and pray for the people here so that the lord will guide and lead us to those in need of the gospel and we did some cold calls, calling them and asking if they are interested to know about the gospel, many rejected but there was few who were interested to meet us, which in return gave us a good weekly planning. So doing daily planning and weekly planning was useful and it is important plus the "AREA BOOK".
On the fasting Sunday, members shared their wonderful testimonies which lifted everyone to go forward and share the testimony. Then we had a farewell for Brother Simon who is called to serve in India Bangalore Mission and will leave on Wednesday to MTC. It reminded of me on that last Sunday in Bangalore where most of you shared your thoughts and friendship to me. Once again I would thank you all for that moment and I will carry it forever.
Today is my 3rd P-day on Mission field and today we all four elders planned to clean the rooms and kitchen, so me and my companion were assigned to clean the kitchen which was a bad idea but we took the task and guess what we cleaned it like no one did
and I planned to prepare Dosai and chutney for breakfast, for the first time I prepared it by myself and it came up so well and they did like it. Yeah!!!!! brother Vijay I can survive in mission and definitely I will cook some more food in mission and I will learn from the members as well. I am so grateful for my mother who taught me how to cook and I will surely apply this talent even after my mission.
You all might wonder why the subject is "Mary did you know" its because one of the elder is going back home in the end of the month and he played this song which brought Christmas on my mind and I started to sing that song all time. I know its too early but I am already started to feel the joy of Christmas and first Christmas away from home.
That's all for today and I know you all would have been tired so far reading this email. All I can say is "ALL IS WELL"
Enjoy your week and rock the world
Love,
Elder Ravindran
