Week 47: "Let his words abide in us"

Hey Everybody!!!! I love you so much and it's wonderful to share my experience every week about the mission life I go through. I learn many things and every day is a special for me. So to start up with my week experience last week we made a goal to invite the people whom we were taught for a very long time and we extended an invitation to them, plus we made a goal to do finding in the morning between 10-12 in the hot sun and Its so fun to do finding!! Guess what we found some very precious people to teach and we found about 5 last week. I felt so happy in doing the finding!! Then we focused on the people whom we are preparing them to be baptised. We did it, we shared the gospel to them and last week we invited 6 people to be baptised and they all agreed to make that covenant with the lord of the day. One family is very eager to get baptised and I see their progress in the last 1 month. I love that family Brother Ravi Kumar Family. They are amazing and I am very excited to see their baptism on July 7.

Apart from the work I am able to enjoy the foods here in Vijayawada, they are amazing and I prepared Shrimps for the first time and it came up well. I had it along with Dosa and it was wonderful!!! Later I wondered I cannot have the Ramadan special, but we had the appointment with Ravi Kumar on Friday and that was the last day for the feast in that area and it was packed with lots of people. My companion was impressed and wanted to try. So we got in after the appointment and we had very delicious Haleem with beef fry and Faloda. I enjoyed that time and finally we completed with a Chennai visit for the Combined zone conference. We learn many things about PRAYER and I was able to meet my friends on a mission. I was able to spend some time with them.

I was reading, the importance of Prayer last night and I come through this verse John 15:7 and then I learnt about the "Word" which is Jesus Christ. If we abide in him and his words in us!! Then everything would make meaningful. I loved it and I was able to write down my feelings in a journal. That changes our behaviour and we will come closer to load and become like him.

My beloved friend, brother and sister!! Gifted me the word of god when I left on Mission and that is a precious gift to my heart and with that I complete learning about the Book of Mormon. I decided to record how the brass plates and records were passed from one generation to another. I wrote in a piece of paper and when I completed my cross referred it and it was the same!! Wow, I was so much thrilled at it. That's not the end, I need to learn more about it so I started to feast upon it once again. That made me change in understanding the doctrine!! I love the Book of Mormon.

I will be always be thankful to them.

So yeah enjoy the rest of the week and rock the world.

Love,

Elder Ravindran
